Pakistan: Noreen Niazi, sister of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan, said that Pakistan today is in an era where common people are being picked up, beaten, and jailed without any accountability. She described it as repression reminiscent of Hitler's times. According to Noreen, the number of atrocities in the country has increased so much that people are feeling unsafe. She gave the example of a young man in Peshawar who was shot last year and became paralyzed. She claims that such cases are countless.
Noreen called Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir a dictator. They allege that Shehbaz Sharif's government is the most unpopular government in the history of the country and Imran Khan is being forced to leave the country. She says that the people in power are ruling without the support of the public, and this is the reason why oppression is increasing.

Noreen said that she and other family members had not been allowed to meet Imran Khan for the last month. They have been sitting outside Adiala jail for several weeks but are denied meeting rights every time. She says that this is why rumors are spreading about the condition of Imran Khan, to which the government does not respond.
According to Noreen, Punjab Police recently used force on her and PTI workers. She described the police as an “abusive force” and said there was no longer any regard for anyone's age, status, or safety. According to her, people in Pakistan have suffered oppression to such an extent that now even a small incident can become a cause of a big protest.

Noreen says that anger among people is continuously increasing. She believes that just one spark is enough, and after that, even the government will not have any idea in which direction the protest will go. She claimed that the current government has no public support, whereas Imran Khan gets support from every section.
Noreen alleged that the Shahbaz government is dependent on the forces present behind the scenes. According to her, this is the reason why, despite public opposition, the existing system is not being affected. She said that when a government oppresses its own people, it is sure to lose support.
Noreen's biggest displeasure is that the international community is silent despite knowing everything. She said that Pakistanis living abroad can express their views freely, and they should raise their voices against human rights violations taking place in Pakistan.
